The Observatory Room is the property’s premium room and the one built most directly around the dark-sky side of the brand — a private rooftop deck, accessed by an internal spiral stair from the room below, with a 270-degree open horizon (the remaining 90 degrees is the hillside behind the property) and its own fixed 6-inch reflector telescope, separate from the two used on the group stargazing sessions.

Unlike the group sessions, there’s no guide up here — the telescope comes with a laminated quick-reference card for the season’s easiest targets, and our staff astronomer is available on request for an in-room orientation on arrival, but after that it’s yours alone for the length of your stay. A heated deck floor makes the space usable comfortably into the colder shoulder-season months when the sky is often at its clearest.

Guests booking the Private Astrophotography Session sometimes ask to run it from this deck instead of the main lawn; we accommodate that on request, since the elevation and unobstructed horizon are, if anything, better suited to it than the ground-level lawn setup.
