The Family Lodge Room is deliberately the most conventional room in the property’s lineup — no retractable roof, no private water steps — because families traveling with young kids have told us consistently that a genuinely comfortable, slightly larger room matters more to them at the end of a full activity day than another signature feature to manage at bedtime.

A raised bunk alcove, built into the room rather than a freestanding bunk bed, gives kids their own defined sleeping nook with a curtain for a bit of separation from the adult bed area. The room can also be booked with its connecting door open to an adjacent Standard Dark Cabin for larger families or two-family groups traveling together, and it shares a covered porch with that adjacent cabin rather than a fully private deck.

It sits closest to the lodge’s main building of any room type, a deliberate placement — shorter walk back after the Family Twilight Bay Walk or an early dinner, and closer to staff if a kid needs something in the night.
